Valve core is one of the important parts of control components used in faucet, valve and other fluid systems.

Function of faucet valve core

The valve core is a valve part which can realize the basic functions of direction control, pressure control or flow control by means of its movement. The on-off control of any faucet needs a valve core. For the faucet, the quality of the valve core is an important basis for the quality evaluation of the whole faucet. It can be said that the most critical factor affecting the quality of the faucet is the valve core. The common faucet valve cores are steel ball valve core and ceramic valve core. The steel ball valve core has good anti pressure ability, but the disadvantage is that the rubber sealing ring is easy to wear and tear, and will soon age. Compared with the steel ball valve core, the ceramic valve core is more heat-resistant and wear-resistant. At the same time, the ceramic valve core itself has good sealing performance, so it can achieve high resistance to opening times, and will not cause water nozzle leakage due to the wear of the valve core. The faucet with ceramic valve core is more comfortable and smooth, and can be opened and closed quickly.

There are three kinds of common spool: stainless steel ball valve, ceramic disc spool and roll spool. The common feature of these three kinds of valve cores is that they have integrity, and the whole spindle is one, which is easy to install, repair and replace.

Identification method of faucet valve core

1: Turn on and off the faucet handle. Feel it with your hand. Do you feel blocked when you turn it on and off

2: Turn the spool switch to half full and stop. And then hit it in place! Compare with the feeling, do the upper and lower parts feel the same! (only the slightly higher grade valve core can do this)

3: When the valve core is left and right (adjust the cold and heat)! (first use the above method) and then look at the weight. A good valve core is "idling" when it is left and right, that is, it feels very light!

4: Use the index finger and middle finger to gently hold the handle of the faucet and move it up, down, left and right to see if it is flexible, blocked and oil damped. If it is flexible, non blocked and has heavy oil damped feel, you can buy it!
